Our Adult Theatre Jazz (Absolute Beginner) will introduce you to the world of theatre jazz. If you're looking to do something fun, learn a new skill or simply get out and about and move your body, this class is for you! Perfect for absolute beginner dancers, who have no prior jazz dance knowledge or experience and who want to develop their skills further. This is a 'move at your own pace' class and will give each dancer options for easier or harder steps. ​ Join with other first time theatre jazz dancers and have fun learning a new skill together! In this class you will; • Build your confidence • Enhance your performance skills • Improve your rhythm, timing and musicality • Increase strength, balance, and coordination • Learn the basics and technique of jazz dancing • Understand key jazz vocabulary and terminology • Explore various musical theatre genres and styles What to bring; ​ • Wear comfortable activewear • Bring a water bottle • Bring jazz shoes (if you have them) If you don't have jazz shoes, you are welcome to wear any closed-in supportive shoes.
